Update 1: Bits and Pieces


Brainstorming ideas for rigging proof of tech. Components include working out all the mechanical parts and how they function independently and as a system, exploring MEL and/or Python scripting and its application to rigging, and building useful controllers for a character rig.


Parts created include different piston setups, a simulation of a camera aperture, as well as pistons that maintain proper fluid volume relative to each other, regardless of how far apart the moving one is in any direction. This is achieved by constantly measuring the distance between two locators on the moving ends and translating the stationary piston based on the amount they are separated
